Polk Center

Looking for a new center to go with my Polk M30 fronts. I currently have a black CS1. I'd like cherry finish if possible. Here are some deals I've found

15c ($90 newegg)
C10 ($110 crutch)
C20 ($150 amazon open box)
25c ($150 newegg)

I have the space for the bigger center, but I do have the small fronts. To those watching, will the 25c drop if I wait a few weeks or has that been a pretty steady sale price? I can also watch ebay but if I get a CS2, i'd want series ii/black front.

Thoughts?

polk's ebay store has the black cs2 for $127, not a bad price.

the pic is obviously of the series i, but I am pretty sure that it is actually the series ii for sale. contact polk for confirmation before buying.

I had seen that listing and written it off as the Series I. I'll contact the Polk eBay store today. I like the styling on the CS2 better than the 25C anyway

like I said i am fairly certain that it is actually the series ii, send an email or call polk support to find out for sure....and post back what they say, so the rest of us can know for sure.

I would also look at the TL2 Center.

It quite possibly is a better-sounding speaker for the center.

I wouldn't. The TL2 is part of the blackstone series and will not be a good timber match to the OP's monitor 30's. rolleyes.gif

They wouldn't match my set in looks or timbre. I'd also be concerned about the range - (125hz -3db). But thanks!

Anyway I have the reverse problem of most people. Space is really limited for my mains, but not at all for my center.
