I did a thread search but couldn't really find the answers I was looking for.
I am trying to power two different Samung LCD TV's (one in the family room and one in the kitchen). My input sources are a DirecTV HR24 DVR and a Samsung BDP - C5500 blue ray. I am connecting them, via standard (cheap 6') HDMI cable to a Monoprice.com 2x2 HDMI switch/splitter. From there I am again using a cheap 6' HDMI cable to a HDMI wall plate also bought from Monoprice. Inside the wall is a 25' 22AWG high speed cable from monoprice which connects to another HDMI wall plate and a 6' cheap HDMI cable from the wall plate to the kitchen tv.
The family room TV is fed by a cheap 6' HDMi from the switch/splitter to the tv.
Here's the issue, the kitchen and family room tv's are fairly close to each other and are on at the same time. There is a slight, but noticeable audio delay when both TV's are going. Is it probable that replacing all of the cheap HDMI cables with 24AWG high speed cables will eliminate by delay problem? I don't want to spend the extra money if its not going to fix the problem. Also, could the wall plates themselves be adding to the delay?
Thanks.
