Hello i have a older yamaha HTR- 5860 that does not have HDMI inputs on it,I also have a Yamaha AX-596 that i use for two channel stereo only.My question is when i upgrade to a new HT receiver can i connect the AX-596 to the HTR-5860 and use it as just a power amp for the HTR-5860 for more power to my stereo set up?or is this not wise.it will be hooked to a pair of Athena AS F2 Tower speakers with a JBL PB 10 sub.
