Aren't they all fronthauls?

Half the stadium without power, sounds like they're describing the game.

CBS only has audio from their two reporters and now they have the studio hosts on.

Came here to say the same thing. I just noticed it during the B show. Now that I know it is there, it is distracting. Only during the live broadcast, not the commercials.

This is via Comcast in Atlanta

CBS's loss is Animal Planet's gain. Tough business this football.

My wife made the statement about volume level of Kelly and Michelle's mics being intentional.

I don't doubt it though.

Did anyone else have trouble hearing the bass guitar for that brief 'solo' period?

Watching WHNT in Huntsville, AL via DirecTV.

A widespread power outage affecting lights and scoreboard and announce booth and mobile unit. Imagine the scene inside the rest rooms !

Those ceiling lights usually take several minutes to warm up once power is restored, then still longer to reach operating temporature and color temperature for TV cameras.

Flag and Penality on Entergy (New Orleans power company) Delay of Game....

Loss of millions of Yards (miles/out of the city) and no repeat of Down ( or Super Bowl in N.O. again).

Hope the power went to the niners now!!! Make a comeback boys!!!!

Seriously I wonder if that halftime light show might have caused this failure. That was a lot of juice that I am sure is not a normal thing for the Super Dome during the regular season. Just a thought.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing.....wish I couldn't hear any of it.

Jim Gray reporting it could have been caused by the half time show.

Lots of images going around.

I might not be using the right term(s), but my understanding was backhauls are feeds from a site/event to a network for further distribution once all the appropriate graphics and commercials have been added while fronthauls are "completed" feeds sent from a network to individual stations or headends for delivery to the general public (after the stations/cable companies/etc. have applied additional compression, of course).

From another thread I'm reading. I don't know the validity of this posting.

Just got a memo from the programming director.

Power distribution for the Super Bowl:
Stadium during play: 12%
Beyonce's half-time performance: 88%
