Suggestions for small, higher-end speakers for my home theater / music (for NYC apartment)

Hi, looking for suggestions on smaller setups for a NYC apartment, where you can't blast music too loud or risk disturbing the neighbors.

Speakers are powered by a Denon AVR-2105 receiver

Looking for two front channel, center + subwoofer, and rear.

Would prefer wood or other housing for the front speakers. Simple design preferred.

I'm currently running a set of older Cambirdge SoundWorks speakers. I must have purchased them 10 years ago. Maybe more.

If anyone has suggestions on interesting things like wireless speakers or a sound bar, I am not familiar with those at all and would appreciate some input. Thanks.

Budget is flexible. Trying to not spend huge sums, but will pay for quality. I don't want a cheapo brand.

The Cambridge Audio minx system is small and sound pretty good for a satellite system with small drivers! The bmr drivers in the minx hit lower than most drivers it's size!

NHT makes some nice bookshelf speakers.

And I'll second the nomination of SVS subwoofers.

I am actually most interested in the minx, given its small size. Space is an at extreme premium in Manhattan and I am looking to recreate soundscapes with clear sound. In a small space, of course. My living room is about 12x15, although that opens into a larger kitchen / dining room.
