Help, intermittent problem, Black screen with Green edge on start up, LCD Samsung 6500

First, thanks for reading, this is an intermittent problem on start up. Any help in narrowing down the problem is gratefully appreciated!

About twice a week upon start up ( into my tivo ) I get a black screen with a green strip across the top & side edge of my samsung led tv. I've replaced the HDMI cables both the input from the tivo & the output from the receiver. We always turn the system on & off via the Harmony remote. I replaced the harmony remote. Everything except the receiver has current firmware.

my husband thinks the problem is the harmony remote software setup.

I think it's the receiver because if I turn the receiver off & back on the problem *all ways* resolves itself.

In searching the web I saw one reference to this issue on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/review/R2L2EGB22MW5DT/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#R2L2EGB22MW5DT ) which seemed to tie the problem to the TV & Netflix. I don't have netflix set up as I access everything on the web via my Tivo. I don't even think the TV has a Cat5 cable attached.

update, I got a new receiver from best buy (a sony 520)

we'll see if I get the error again

yeah, reduced to trial & error, i just wish the problem occurred on a regular schedual
