MLB on Smart TV

Thread Starter
Hi, I am looking to buy a new flat panel TV for my family room. I would like to be able to stream MLB to the TV wirelessly. Can someone please recommend a brand that features the MLB app on their smart TVs?

I recently purchased a 32" Vizio E320i-A0 for a guest bedroom and find that there is no MLB app on it, and apparently you can't add the MLB app to it either. That's not really a concern for the guest room but will keep me away from Vizio when I purchase a large flat panel TV for the family room soon.

Thanks for any help. My head is spinning from reading threads in here this morning. smile.gif

LG has the MLB app. assuming it is an internet connected HDTV.

I do not have MLB.tv so I cannot offering any info in that respect. I am actually looking into buying a sub to MLB.

Do you know if your local game is blacked out, can you watch the "Away" broadcast of that same game?

No, you cannot.

It's quite annoying. If there's any local broadcast of the game (cable, etc) the game will be blacked out on MLB.tv

I really wish they would change their blackout rules because there are many times I'm not around the big screen and would like to get broadcasts of the game on the mobile phone, etc, and cannot due to the blackout restrictions.

ok, thanks. The annoying part for me is my local teams are Washington and Baltimore. I live 4+ hours away from both of them. I thought the whole idea of blackouts was to try to get you out to the game instead of just sitting home to watch it.
