cannot upgrade firmware on crystalio vps3800...HELP!!!

Hey all

I downloaded the firmware updates for the VPS3800, I unzipped them, then put the 2 folders on a zip drive, put it in the back of the Crystalio, went to firmware update, and all I get is firmware not found.. tried 2 drives, this one only has 2.7, and I know it is old, but the firmware should be 2.10..

Please, can someone help me out?

by zip drive you mean a standard USB stick, yes ?

Possibly a file system mismatch ? I would make sure that your USB stick is formated with standard FAT format. Larger sticks might be formatted with FAT32 or even NTFS and who knows what the CII accepts.

Yes, USB stick.

It is formatted with NTFS, I will try to format the stick with fat, maybe that was the problem.

STILL no luck. I am sure I am doing something wrong, but never had this much trouble trying to get firmware to update!
