Harmony One using new HDMI capable receiver. Help with inputs?

Hey guys,

I recently upgraded my old onkyo HITB and picked up a Denon 1312.

My biggest question is how do I set up the newly changed activities in the harmony software?

I understand that all four of my HDMI components (xbox, ps3, dvr and dvd player) will run via HDMI to my receiver and then one HDMI cable will run in to my TV.

Does that mean I select HDMI1 for every single "activity" in the harmony software as they will all be going in to the same input via the receiver?

Thanks for any help.

Pretty much. Just make sure you have whatever activity for your Denon setup properly. The TV part will stay with HDMI 1 out.

can I put two different inputs, say PS3 and Xbox on the same "Game" selection on the denon? Or does every activity need its own selection i.e. (game, BD, DVD, V-Aux, TV, etc)?

If those were both on "Game" for instance, would that mess up switching directly between the two?

^^^
Each source should be assigned to its own input.

This has nothing to do with setting up activities on the remote.

Ah I get ya, each input on the back will be labeled with one of those and I just plug them in accordingly, understandable.

Basically yes. Since the PS3 and Xbox will be connected to separate inputs, you may need to go into the receiver's setup and assign them correctly.
