Hello All.
I'm looking at getting a getting one of these to replace my WD Live media player and crapo Samsung blu-ray player, and I'm tossing up if the 751 is worth the extra.
Q1: Network Share Access
Currently my WD media player access my music and movie files via a windows share.
I have no intention of using DLNA.
I have read that the 103 has "experimental" support for CIFS/Samba which is promising, but can anyone confirm that the 751BD is able to work with normal Windows file shares?
Q2: Gapless Playback.
I have read (and seen via youtube) that the 103 does not do gapless playback.
Since Winamp had gapless support before 2003, and my old PMP (Cowon D2) had it since 2006-12-05, (for me) it's become an implicit feature that shouldn't have to check for. Yet here I am.
There's a few references on the net that claim that the 751BD "may have gapless playback in the next firmware version".
Can anyone confirm that the 751BD can now in fact play MP3 and FLAC files (over the network) without gaps?
If so, do we know what firmware version introduced it.
Q3: Multi-Chanel -> HDMI, CD -> Analogue
Can either the BDP-103 or the 751BD be configured
1) to play CD's in stereo via the analogue outs, and
2) to play DVD/BR/ via HDMI?
(i.e.: without having to be reconfigured via the settings menu)
Cheers
