Logitech Harmony 650

Ok.. So I bought my new Logitech harmony 650... I went through all the set up ... signed on and went through the wizard set up. At first I thought it was all working. Press watch tv.... it worked fine.. press listen to music from current possition of "watch tv" and it does not go to the right settings.... It seems that I always have to start from a certain point for the remote to change the settings correctly. For instance... move forward 2 spaces to HDMI on tv. Move three spaces from FM Radio to AUX on home theater.... HOWEVER if I am not on the correct Input then it moves forward or backwards and ends up on the wrong input etc...

I have a westinghouse tv, a cicso cox cable box and a panasonic home theater... I feel like the remote is going in a numerical sequence and I need to have it "hard" coded to go to HDMI, or COMPOSITE .... not move one input forward etc.

Help.. What do I do?

VERY SIMILAR CONCERN...

I have a (1) Samsung LNT-4061F TV, (2) Samsung HW-E450 sound bar, (3) CISCO IPN4320 UVerse box, (4) Sony BDP-S590 blu ray player, and (5) Sony STR-AV200 (ancient) stereo receiver used for AM/FM .

The UVerse box and blu ray player each input directly to the TV. The TV inputs to the sound bar via optical cable (D-In).

The stereo receiver inputs directly to the sound bar via AUX.

I also have a Harmony 650 remote programmed for all the aforementioned devices and programmed for three activities associated respectively with the UVerse box, blu ray player, and stereo receiver.

The Harmony 650 remote works excellently with all these components with the exception of one annoyance....

The UVerse box and blu ray player activities are programmed for D-In input to the sound bar and work accordingly.

The stereo receiver activity is programmed for AUX input to the sound bar, but the Harmony 650 remote does not change the input from D-In to AUX.

The Harmony 650 remote does have a InputNext virtual button that allows manually changing from D-In to AUX (so all is not lost).

It appears that the sound bar does not have a protocol for directly addressing specific inputs (just the next input in the prescribed sequence).

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Has anyone found a workaround for programming the Harmony 650 remote?
