best wireless router for my smart tv?

Just purchased a vizio 500 i smart tv and I can't it to connect to the internet?
I have verizon dsl & a d-link 615 wireless....
Spent an hour on the phone w Vizio & they gave up & told me to call verizon..??
My ipad works fine off the wireless any suggestions?

We need more information....

How do you have your router set up (encryption, etc)
Where is your router in relation to your TV..
are you getting an IP from the router or is your TV not even connecting\seeing the router
What are your settings on the TV as it relates to NetWork

From the looks of it and I cant be sure this TV does not have wireless (Im not familliar with the 500 model....have you tried a different cable?
in your router do you see the TV as a device when looking at whats connected to it?

These are just a good set of starting questions well need answers to in order to help you.

Went back & forth with Linksys & Vizio.. it's set properly..
now the pw is 10 all lower case letters.. with wpa encryption...
I only have dsl at 2.86mps. vizio tells me it has to be 3mps or above to work.. yet others say differently?
I even tried hard wiring to the wireless and still it did not work,, the tv recognizes the signal but refuses to connect.. so maybe it has to be 3mps..
