Looking For A New Receiver. Help!

I've had an Onkyo TX SR 805 for about 5 years now, and have enjoyed it very much. It's been starting to make chirping sounds, mostly from playing Netflix it seems. I disabled the DTS and Dolby codecs, and that seemed to help, but it still does the chirping, and it's getting worse. I was looking at the 806, and I like the sound of the Audyssey dynamic eq, for low level sound. But the whole blue dot thing scares me.

So I'm looking for something that's fairly inexpensive (under $1,000), is a bit of an upgrade to the 805, and can matrix 5 channel sources to 7. Not really interested in dual sub, or 9 channel.
