I'm having problems getting sound through HDMI when I have my PC (nVidia GTX 580 video card) connected to it. If I plug my PC directly into the TV (and turn the TV's speakers back on 
) the sound works mostly fine (VLC won't send audio to the TV and only through my PC speakers for some reason?), but it's in stereo and I cannot enjoy my sound system with it that way (even tried using a digital optical cable from my VT50 to my receiver but my PC would still only output stereo sound due to the TV only having two speakers - when it's connected to the Onkyo I have mono/stereo/2.1/quadrophonic/4.1/5.1/7.1/etc available... but no sound).
Since the sound seems to be working fine when plugged directly into my TV, I'm assuming it's a problem/setting I'm missing on my Onkyo 609? Could someone help? I seriously cannot figure this out and have been at it for hours... Google has been absolutely no help for me.
