The confusion seems to stem from the fact that I made the original arrangements with Jake, and not Erich.
And I see that I concentrated more on the speaker aspects, than the business details, both with Jake, and here on the forum.
One misconception that seems to keep creeping up is over the term "drop ship". And the manufacturers purchasing departments that I deal with understand the term, and I probably tossed it out too lightly.
But to be clear, the drivers did not ship from me, but from BMS directly.
This is why the price included shipping, and there were no shipping charges on any of the invoices from me to you (Erich).
And the intent is that the shipment is in the hands of the customer once it clears customs.
Most manufacturers pick these up at the warehouse. Some arrange for freight to their door. The smallest percentage have me arrange the freight.
I feel confident that I talked about this with Jake, but as I said, I know I talked mostly about speaker design, and differing components.
And I know I did not work it out with Erich, but assumed SOP from my perspective. And I see that I did not address it at all on the forum.
Of course I can't ask Erich to cover any costs, so am working it out with him on email, to try and make it work with his schedule.
I will pay for the freight to him if that is what needs to happen.
