Suspended Slab Theater Room

Hi All, I have been on the site a lot lately looking at all the amazing theaters out there. It has inspired me to do a custom theater instead of just a basic theater like I had in my old house. Here are some pics of the old theater room I had before. Nothing special but we really enjoyed it. It was a 125" Elite Ez Frame Screen, Onkyo TX SR805, Epson Powerlite 1080, Polk Audio RTi8 Fronts, CSi5 Center, FXi3's for side and rear and a PSW505 sub.

I recently built a new house with a suspended slab. The room is 33 ft x 23 ft. The same size of the garage above it. It has 9ft ceilings and concrete on all sides. The only opening is a 38" door. This is going to be a dedicated theater room and possibly an office/collectibe room depending on the size I make the theater. I may split the room in half. I didnt see much in the forums about suspended slab theaters so I am looking from some advise from those that have experience with them. Any do's or don't's? I am in the planning/ design stages right now. Any thoughts or ideas you have would be appreciated.

Here is the area for the new theater-

I'm jealous. I wish I would have done a suspended slab and had the entire area below my garage available.

You've got a nice large space to work with. Looking forward to this build.

+1 Maximum jealousy here too.

I assume you have read this thread:

I am not sure what unique challenges a suspended concrete slab will present for your HT.
