Rega Brio-R vs. Outlaw RR2150?

I want to set up a 2 channel bookshelf set up for music only. It is for a medium sized living room with a slanted ceiling. I'm a recent Spotify subscriber and see most of my music being streamed at 320 kbit/s. My plan is to go from iPod --> HRT iStreamer --> stereo amp--> Ascend Sierra-1 NrT speakers.
I'm interested in feedback/comments on this set up. However, I'm most interested in recommendations for an amp.
I would like to keep the amp below $1,000. Any thoughts on comparing the Rega Brio-R to the Outlaw RR2150? I've found many reviews of each, but no direct comparisons. Or is there an amp out there for a similar price that outshines them both in a 2 Channel set up? Thanks!

I don't know anything about the Rega, but I will tell you that I have the
RR 2150 matched with an original pair of the Sierra One speakers
And they sound great! The outlaw has more features and the specs seem to be
A bit better too.

also if you get a sub down the road the outlaw has bass mgmt.

The Outlaw unit has a pretty good reputation, but I think the Harmon-Kardon 3490, which is only $500, is better all around.

The Rega amplifier is definitely better-sounding than either of them, however; it is VERY good!

The Arcam A19 is another excellent integrated amplifier you might want to consider.

I haven't heard the rega but I have recently brought the arcam a19 alongside some kef r100s and the sound quality is simply sublime, I have that singers in my living room sound and it sounds amazing so much clarity depth punch and drive.

And even though the arcam is stated to only have only 50 watts per channel it sounds lot more powerful than that. I don't need that much volume as at the volume 30-35 range is sufficient enough for my room and fills it brilliantly.

I have had many avrs speakers and subs over the years and I feel like I'm finally there in terms of the sound quality that I have been looking for.

The Outlaw is an amazing piece. I have one and also purchased one for my brother's birthday after I owned mine for two years. I have listened to the Brio-R at a dealer and it is a very capable performer. However, the build quality and features cannot match the RR2150. The Outlaw is so well designed and has so many features that you might need that it really is a Swiss army knife - perfectly executed. Add to that, the dac, phono, tone controls, processor loop, manual crossover, tuner all are so well designed. I did direct comparison to HArman Kardon 435 and I preferred the Outlaw.

I have traveled down the path of the perfect all-in-one which has lead me to the Arcam AVR600 - which costs $3000. However, I still have my RR2150 and will never sell it. Too useful - too awesome.

I wanted to thank you all for your replies and update you on where my 2 channel set up journey took me. I got real about what I could afford and realized that the Ascend Sierra-1s or Salk Song Surround Is along with an amp like Emotiva separates, or efforts from Rega, Arcam, or Outlaw were just out of reach for me. I ended up finding the HK 3490 new for $299 with no tax or shipping and a pair of Monitor Audio BX2s for $489 (no tax or shipping either). While I know the sound won't rival stereo set ups in the $2k range, I ended up spending $788 and feel pretty good about the bang for my buck that I ended up with. At any rate, thanks again for replying to my thread.
Take care-

Sounds good. The HK 3490 will be able to handle larger speakers if you decide to upgrade later. They could easily handle songtowers or Sierra-1s should you ever decide to upgrade speakers

I now have the amp and speakers set up. I'm enjoying it tremendously! With my space restrictions, the front porting on the BX2s is nice and the 3490 is wonderful.
Thanks again you all-
