So far it looks like the TV will launch sometime next month, with picture quality similar or better than the ES9000. The hands on articles from CES all say the TV had great blacks, accurate colors and no uniformity problems.
There has been no talk of price yet, but if the price in the OPs link is true, I'll be very happy.
