Do Any Sony SXRD/LCOS Projectors Have The Infamous Green Blob Problem?

I owned an SXRD rear projection Sony TV, and it had the infamous green tint that made me have to get a replacement. When it worked, the picture was stunning, but the whole debacle soured me on Sony products in a big way. A top of the line $4,000 TV going out in around 3 years will do that.

Anyway, I was kicking the idea around of buying a used Sony Pearl projector that I can across, and wanted to know if it has any long term issues with it being SXRD. I have seen this projector in action, and while I'm sure it's "ancient" I still think it holds it's own in terms of picture quality.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

I had a KDS-R60XBR1 and it developed the green blob issue. However, I also have a VPL-VW60 (the "Black Pearl") which I used until very recently when I replaced it with a JVC RS4810. The Sony projector never developed the green blobs like the RPTV did.
