I'm in the planning stages of a new home theater. I plan on making a false wall with 3 powered studio monitors behind a 106 inch AT screen. The subs are going to be up fireing and the whole wall is going to be drywalled so all you see is the screen.
The space i have under the screen is 22 inches deep by 24 inches high and 106 inches wide. For power I have a EP1500 and a EP2500. Max budget for the drivers is around $600. I live in Canada but will be getting them shipped close to the boarder to save on shipping. I am removing a wall to combine 2 rooms so the size of the space will be 29 feet deep by 15.2 feet wide but the listening position will be about 17 feet from the false wall.
A couple of options I'm thinking of is a 4 Infinity reference 12's dual 4 ohm ported off a bridged EP 2500 or 2 Dayton Audio RSS460HO 18's ported run in stereo of the EP 2500. What do you guys think?
