Thanks Marty..I am psyched as well. I am sure they will blow me away, but in the true nature of an audio psycho, I'm already thinking of how to push them even further.

No reason to rush the project. Although I think some of here here (me included) are just as excited as you are with this project.
Hahaha...I hear ya. I kept thinking I'd get out there this weekend, for even an hour and assemble some panels, but everytime to you try, it seems like they look up at you like, "why are you leaving daddy?"
We will get some done this week...lots of visitors this week at night, so I will sneak out a bit.
I can dangle the carrot a bit here, as I'm sure I will expand on these. Matt and I talked a bit last night and I have another idea on expansion of these to make them the ultimate midbass machines and also allow them to keep the output, and run just about full range.
I have goen back and forth on this thing so much...quad fifteens, scrap the project, dual 15s and now we talked about the mains becoming a dual 18 and dual 15 combo. I'm sure they don't need it, but something about a seven foot tall wall of AE with the seos24 just seduces me past my point of controlling myself
I have the amps and dsp power to run dual 18s in each main as well, and I have to build stands anyway
In all honesty, that is where the idea came from. I was looking at what size stands to make and started to think, if I have to build them anyway, there might as well be something in them
....and then, if there is an 18 in the bottom, the cabinet would look lopsided so the top needs one too. A TD18 on the top and bottom would truely make these the SEOSR!! The "end caps" with each 18 will be modular on the top and bottom. I have to get the plans finalized on seating with Mr. Erskine first to determine optimal height for the center of the waveguide and then I can start construction of the end caps. Each pair of 18s will see about a thousand watts from a DSi1000 and I assume will be in about 5cubes ported and a high 20s tune I'd assume. I am running models to try to match them up to the rest of the mains.
This is far more than overkill, but at this rate, every component in the mix fromt he dual 18s to the dual 15s to the Coax and the amps will just loaf along along at higher impedance loads, well within excursiona and thermal limits. It should bascially be the ultimate HT speaker that has the strength to last a lifetime. The only thing I'm worried about now is the bass.....when Matt said it to me it sounded so funny, but it's true....16 of the Dayton 18s on 20kw might not be able to keep up with the mains
