Mighty frustrated am I. My home theater system started out, several years ago with
Receiver Onkyo HT R520
Projector InFocus 4805
Fios box
DVD Player
VCR
Wii
Recently, the InFocus died, again and I chose the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 to replace it. Then, for Christmas I bought a blu ray, the Samsung BD E5400. I rather quickly determined that unit would not work and moved on to a Panasonic DMP BDT220, which, I thought, had enough connections to work with my Onkyo HT R520. And it may, but if it does, I need help to figure it out.
The current set up is:
Receiver Onkyo HT R520
Projector Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 (ceiling mounted)
Hi Def Fios Box (with HDMI)
VCR
Wii
The current cables running from the Epson to the Onkyo are component and video.
Do I need/want to run HDMI through the wall/ceiling? Replace the receiver? If so, will the Onkyo TX NR414 work? I have a sinking feeling that I might have made a better choice of projector, given the hassle of all of this.
Your assistance is appreciated!!!
