Denon 1712 refurbished $239 and free shipping at Denon.com. This was $66 less than Accessories4less when price/shipping and tax are all figured in.Not sure if this is a good deal for a receiver almost two years old but i just ordered one. It's my first new receiver after many years with my Pioneer and I figured I would take a chance with a refurb. I didnt need networking and this has Audyssey MultEQ XT which I read here is good to have

Does anyone know if this converts component video to HDMI? My AVR 590 bit the dust, and I need a new receiver ASAP. My cable box is component video, so I NEED a receiver that will do this.

In the official AVR-XX12 thread, batpig writes
"The following three models do not have an ethernet connection for network features, and also do not have the ability to convert analog video inputs to HDMI output. This means that, if you have non-HDMI sources, you will need to make more than one video connection to your display."

This is in reference to the AVR-1712 and the 2 models below it.
