Upgrading from 4805. ? about Epson 3020

Hi, I've been lurking here for years but seldom post. I'm a female that loves technology:) I have owned an Infocus 4805 for almost 10 years- still going strong on original bulb (used mainly for outdoor parties). I now am having a theater room built and have decided on the Epson 3020. Any idea when the price will go down? I'm wanting to wait until they are $1399 or below. I don't want to buy one and then have them show up for $999 because I bought at the wrong time. It will probably be late spring before I will need it anyway but I'm fighting the urge to buy one now. lol. I chose the 3020 after reading lots of reviews here. I will be using it mainly for 3D and movies.
