Keyboard & Mouse for Lounge Chair Gaming?

I've been considering hooking up my PC to my HDTV for some big-screen gaming, but I haven't quite figured out what do about the keyboard and mouse.

I don't want to set up a desk in front of the TV--what I really want is to be able to relax in my favorite lounge chair with my feet up whilst playing.

Does anyone else out there do this? If so, what do you do with the keyboard and mouse?

I wouldn't recommend KB+M for a couch, but you can consider a gaming keypad and a trackball mouse.

But I'd say you're ultimately better off going with a gamepad like an Xbox 360 controller and having it set up to load Steam big picture. Probably the easiest and most functional of the options.
