Need help with biamp function on RX-573

Hi Guys, Im brand new on your site but used your forum to purchase my new VTF3-MK4 sub. This is my first custom theater system and I must say, Im not used to all the lingo yet.wink.gif I have purchased a RX-573 Yamaha receiver, VTF3-MK4 sub (WOW) and a set of Athena Audition series speakers. Since I dont have the right room layout for 7.1 system, I set the extra bookshelfs on top of my towers. They come right to the top of my t.v. so it looks pretty good. My question is about the two bookshelfs. since they are in front of me Im having to run the system in biamp function. from what I can understand this allows to have 2 right and left mains. my problem is that as I turn the system up the bookshelfs are pushing hard and the towers are not even trying yet. Can I purchase something to reduce the power to the bookshelfs? I hope I was able to explain this well. Thank you, Aaron

Biamping does not allow you to run two pairs of front speakers.

It's for speakers that have two sets or speaker terminals which the Athena's do not.

See the diagram on page 16 of your manual.
