I Think I'll Wait Now

I am/was ready to pick up a 55" VT50 series Panasonic locally at Pauls TV's for $$1497.00 a very good price but then saw the Samsung CES preview and think I'll wait a few months and see what the reviews are on the F8500. I was looking for 55", 60" is just a little to big to fit in my living room. I think I can live with a 51" unless Samsung decides to come out with a 55" in the F8500 series.

I know it is not going to be anywhere near the $1497 range the Panasonic is selling for now, but have been hanging out on the VT50 thread and man there seem to be so many problems with it. Have not looked around enough to see what problems people have had with the Flagship E8000.

I'm in a similar boat to yourself. I want to upgrade my 58" samsung plasma to a new model, but all the 2013 CES talk has put me in a holding pattern until the new models are released.

Only problem is I have an older Sony 34xrb960 that is acting up, I sure hope it lasts until the the new reviews are out and the TVs are in the stores. I figure that will be late march early April.

What TV do you have now?

I have the PS58C7000. Basically I'm upgrading because I want something larger and a little better PQ.
The 2013 65" plasma and LED's look very interesting, and hopefully the Samsung 75" will drop in price.
