I'm setting up a new system with 12 ceiling speakers (5 rooms) and I'm trying to spend no more than $400 on a receiver. The speakers are 6.5" 60W Nominal, 120W Max 8 Ohm (Monoprice 4103).

Would the Denon 1513 or 1613 be adequate to power 12 of these speakers? If not, would i need to add an amplifier or should i just go up to a better receiver? What else would i need? I do have volume controls for each room.

The Denon AVR 2113 was suggested to me as well, so that i could have 2 zones, which would be nice.

If i go with the 2113, i was thinking of connecting my current NAD 705 receiver (which is old, but works well) to the Denon to run 1 of the zones.

I'm not so proficient with specs and terminology but was told it could work to power 6 - 8 speakers on a zone. Per spec sheet ( http://nadelectronics.com/products/hifi-receivers/705-Stereo-Receiver) it has 40 W continuous power; IHF dynamic power (max short term power per channel) is 2OHms 160 W ; 4 ohms 130 W and 8 ohms 90W.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
