The former is available at Sam's for $798.00, the latter as low as $849.99 (online and at Best Buy). Need to replace the 50" 720p DLP with its weekly addition of dead pixels, but trying to save money due to recent AVR purchase! ~$50 price difference is minimal, so questions are
I *am* a 3D fan, but can save that for the dedicated home theater (projection/screen - some great bargains out there, compared to flat-panel displays). Neither do I need a smart TV - I have network capabilities in the BDP and AVR.
I'm leaning toward the 60", just wondered if anyone might have suggestions to the contrary.
1. Will the more "expensive" item have that much better a picture?
2. If not, will I appreciate the extra real estate provided by the additional 5" diagonal?
