Automating MakeMKV - grab title from disc or override

I don't remember this specific script being discussed here

There has been a lot of discussion around automating the MakeMKV process, so maybe someone has already tried this

Just wanted to ask before I put a lot of effort into it

The beginning seems to be here http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=105168

The more interesting additions come a little later, the updated script in this thread looked closer to completion http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=105168&pid=1272882#pid1272882

MakeMKV required, Handbrake is not

What does it do. Just preset your setting and rip upon disc insertion ?

Your correct answer would be "No, I've not used it" biggrin.gif

Just kidding, truthfully I don't know what it does entirely. Looking at the script file, it seems to launch the command line makemkv console and begin prompting you for Movie/TV -> Compress/Don't Compress -> Preferred Audio -> Title Correct / Manually override title if not -> Default directory / override

I only glanced at the script, I'll look closer when I get time. I'm probably going to try it out, I've always wanted an automated mkv ripper smile.gif

I guess no one has used this yet. I think this is intended to be an addon that you can run from your main XBMC menu when a disc is present in your drive. When it's done prompting it should rip to your chosen directory, and eject the disc on completion
