Western Digital has now made available a new media player called TV PLAY. The new player sports features such as built-in Wi-Fi and offers built-in streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, VUDU, Youtube and more.

What makes this box really interesting is the SlingPlayer features that allow you to stream around the home or the world. WD TV comes with a remote, but you can download a remote app for both iOS and Android devices. This will require WiFi running in order to get the app synced up with the player of course.

Setup is quite easy actually. Simply plugging in the unit and following the on-screen menu will get you up and running in no time. And with a $70 price tag, it’s definitely worth checking out.

The WD TV Play is already available for purchase via Western Digital's online store, and there's no word on retail availability.
