NEW UPDATE Firmware for the Definitive Technology - SoloCinema XTR Sound Bar

Just an FYI there are new firmware updates for the SoloCinema XTR Sound Bar.
I just updated to R0201.
So if you own this Bar you should contact tech support & get the update.

If your having issues with the bar, the chance that a firmware fix can solve the problem is a good one, like all gear, you should always, update the firmware before ya dive in.
I was having freeze issues, where the bar would just freeze up on me & I would have to unplug the system to re boot it, so we'll see if this helps. otherwise the bar sounds fantastic.

Thinking about picking up this sound bar. Can't decide between this one and the Yamaha YSP 4300

I was think'n of the ysp-4300
But it just took to long to come out.
Buy both !! And return the one that doesn't cut it !.
Love to know how they compair.

Heads up that Definitive support sent me R0203 today. Not sure if the LED changes were included in 201, but with 203, the LEDs now shut off, leaving only the middle LED on substantially dimmed, after 10 seconds of non-interaction. In other words, the lights are all on like normal when you are adjusting volume, but then all shut off an dim 10 seconds later. Also the very left LED now flashes while the bar is receiving IR input so you know your remote is hitting the bar.

I'm also told that 203 addresses some HDMI handshake issues they have been facing.

Great !, I just emailed def tech to send it to me 0203, the 0201 seemed way more stable and fixed the brightnes issue, but hopfully they are improving the bars firmware and stability.
Thanks for the heads up.

I got this from tech support :
"The new update is a troubleshoot for certain problems with systems. It is not a system overall update as the last one was. If you aren’t having any trouble with you bar this update won’t do anything for you."
