How to get a LCD 3D compatible projector to play 3D movies?

I bought a Supersonic Pro 9501 projector ( LCD 3D & Blu-ray compatible ), a LG 3D blu-ray player and HDMI 1.4 cable. I have set the whole thing up and still it says that i cant not play 3D movies, that the projector is not 3D enabled. How do i go about getting it to play 3D movies? I know that for 3D ready DLP projectors you can acquire a OPTOMA 3D-XL convertor to change the playback from 1080 to 720 and the DLP would work, what can you do to make a LCD projector work?

Time to dig into the projector's manual, if it came with one. What kind of 3D glasses came with the projector? If they are magenta and cyan or another combination of colors, then likely the PJ isn't truly compatible with 3D Blu-Rays. These require an HDMI 1.4 display for playback. Or it may only be compatible with PC 3D sources such as games.

Didn't find any reliable source regarding the specs of that pj. Did you buy it from a white van? smile.gif

The only references to this PJ I found were for sales on websites from South Africa, but nothing from the mfr, which appears to be in China...

All I could find:

It is the older anaglyph red/blue 3D. The projector will not support 3D blu-rays. Very deceptive ad, as everything supports red/blue 3D.
