Does anyone have an experience directly with the NU6000 inuke AMP? Looks like it would put out around 1400-1500 RMS? Looking to upgrade the EP4000 as I wanted a bit more headroom. Anyone compared NU4000 to the EP4000 first hand? I know it would only be around 400 watts per channel upgrade (which is good at 4 ohms) but I would reuse my EP4000.

Also I only have normal "bare wire" type connectors on my DIY subs. What's the easiest way to use the outputs on the NU6000 and connect them to standard speaker type inputs?

I was thinking of going non-DSP as I have a XT-32 receiver..

I have experience with the iNuke 3000 DSP. You need to buy some speakon connectors for the amp side, at least.

These are the cheap ones:

I went with the "cheaper" ones, and found out they can't handle 14ga/4c wire, which is 11ga when twisted together since only 2 connectors.
The $1 more ones can handle them, placed order just now.

I have a pair of the cheap ones that came with a cable I bought. I can't figure out how to fully dissasemble them to remove the wire. I can see that it may work to use a crecent wrench on one end, but I can't figure out how it comes apart. This is after I've removed the blue collar and the cheap plastic strain relief. I checked Neutrik's website and their directions were most unhelpful.

So with the more expensive ones I can just use normal speaker wire and wire up 2 of them? I just want to hook up 1 sub per channel...

Yes. It is really easy to do. Just Google: "how to build speakon connectors" and you will see lots of YouTube videos. I found a good video and learned how to do it in about 5 minutes with my iNuke3000DSP. I am a big fan of Speakon now. And I agree spend a little more on the better connectors.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a NU6000.. Anyone have any other input? I was thinking if it wasn't really much of an upgrade I'd just wait. Again, the EP4000 I have now would be reused on a different set of subs.. Hoping to get a bit more of a kick on the 2 15" LMS-R's..

Do you need Speakon connectors for both the high-level outputs as well as the low-level inputs? Or does the input accept RCA? It's hard to tell from the pictures...

and they work great..

So I went ahead and bought the NU6000.. I hope to provide some info regarding the switch.. Hoping to have it by Saturday.
