please help!!!!! madcatz xbox 360 networking adapter stopped working all of a sudden

It worked for a few years, and still lights up now, but blinks. it won't connect today. is it fixable? any other cheaper networking adapters then the official xbox adapter that will work? anyone who has this adapter please give me advice on how you trouble shooted it.

update as much as I didn't want to I bought the official network adapter from best buy today. The sale ends saturday night. It is 50 bucks instead of 60.
