Oppol BDP-103 and Lexicon MC-12 non HDMI downmix question

Thread Starter
I am using a 7 channel setup, what should I set the downmix to on the Oppo . I am using the 5.1 multichannel analog from the Oppo to the Lexicon.

If your Lexicon won't accept the full, 7.1 Analog connection from the OPPO then set the down-mix in the OPPO to 5.1 so that Rear channel content from 7.1 tracks gets mixed into the Side surround output channels instead of being discarded. Your Lexicon may offer a Surround Sound processing mode (like PLIIx) to expand the 5.1 input back to 7.1 speakers output.

There's an FAQ in the Oppo 103 thread in the first post.
