Looking to add an amp

Hey all, new here, looking for help and advice. I have a 2005 Silverado crew cab that came with the factory Bose system. I just finished installing a Pioneer AVH-P8400bh and front and rear Polk Audio DB651s's. Also using a GMOS-04 and an ASWC. Now I want it louderrrrr! I need more power! So I'm looking for a 5 channel amp to power the 4 door speakers and the factory sub. What's a halfway decent amp and how does it get wired? Do I need to cut the hard wired speaker wires on the rear of the head unit? Do I need to disconnect the factory amp?
Thanks in advance.
I spend a lot of time in my truck so is like it to sound good and I like it loud. wink.gif

the problem you are going to run into is the Bose system has volume dependent EQ. The louder you turn it up, the less bass you get. This is there to protect the speakers from blowing them on bass heavy content music.

In my old Suburban, I installed a new head unit, kept the bose system and simply added a subwoofer and amp to it.

Adding a 5 channel amp might work but chances are, the lifespan of the stock sub will be very short.

The head unit and speakers are already installed. I guess I'll take my chances with an amp If the subwoofer does blow, I'll remove the factory amp and subwoofer and go aftermarket. I don't need to keep any if the Bose stuff
