Hello
I am completely clueless when it comes to all the stats related to receivers and what makes each better.
I currently have a yamaha HTR-5940 reciever and have no issues with it, except for the fact that it has no HDMI inputs or outs.

I run my xbox and PS3 video through my TV with just the audio going through my receiver.

Today I was given a Yamaha RX-v371 receiver.
I wanted to know if it was worth swapping the HTR for the RX.

Thanks in advance for all the help

Why wouldn't you swap them out? The 371 is HDMI capable while the HTR is not, that's a huge reason already by itself.
