List of lowest end 3D HDMI 1.4 receivers with analog to HDMI scaling/conversion?

I give up attempting to try to research this, I have been going nuts for days on it. Feel free to alert me to any great found deals on any and all 3D receivers. Refurb, Open Box, ect..ect.. Just fine by me.

My current scaled down theater needs an ultra budget 3D receiver.

I still do a lot of Laserdisc......

I would like a listing of lowest end 3D avr's that support video scaling. The specific model numbers from each manufacturer excluding Pyle.

I would also like a listing of lowest end 3D AVR models that support basic conversion as well. Analog to HDMI, exluding Pyle, I realize these can be problematic with many displays because many displays will nto work with 480i HDMI input.

I would also like a listing of lowest end 3D AVR's models that do not support scaling or conversion as well.

From these I will try to decide on best bang for buck for me.....

I'll be using an Optoma GT750 3D projector.

Source components will be:

Direct TV (Including 3D)
PS3 (3D Bluray)
Toshiba HD-DVD Player
Higher end Pioneer Laserdisc player

Thanks in advance

For Denon 1913 (analog conversion/scaling) and for Marantz NR1603 (analog conversion/scaling) with lower models doing neither analog conversion nor upscaling. Note that any AVR released in the last 3 years is likely to be HDMI 1.4/3D.

In searching, I am always getting older product. I am not familure enough with each manufactures lines to know what is current or even how current. A lot of used poroduct comes up on Amazon. I don't want that....

Open Box or B stock or Factory Refurbished would be OK....

I'll do some research and post back....

I mean Pioneer, Onkyo, HK, Sony, Sherwood, and others all have a lowest MSRP product that has scaling and 1.4 HDMI correct?
They all also have a lowest MSRP product with 1.4 HDMI and no scaling correct?

I am having a very hard time parsing out this information from the internet.

So, I did some research.... Took a while for sure to do it....

It looks like right now for current products..... The lowest end avr's to do scaling are as follows:
H/K - AVR2600
Onkyo - TX-NR515
Pioneer - VSX-1022
Sherwood - RD-8504
Sony - STR-DH720
Yamaha - HTR-5064

Any others?

I still have not found a screaming good enough deal on an AVR for me to pull the trigger.......

My older non HDMI is hanging in there in my theater, I really wanted to move that receiver into the living room, I'll just be patient of a woot / deal of day. I somehow missed a few in the past few weeks. I need to be more on top of it I suppose.

Well, never say never. Never give up.

I just scored a Pioneer VSX-1022 for $172.00 new in box.... smile.gif

I see an official owners thread here, so I will most like post my impressions / experiences there.

Hey John.

I hear that Pioneer to be a decent AVR. Say how did you find that deal?

Not a current model but there are deals out there on the Denon 591 and it does convert to HDMI (if the Pioneer does not work out).

I used it in my game room to convert component from a non-hdmi equipped Xbox 360 and it even worked with 3D from the 360 through the conversion.
