Deep Color and Lip Sync. Really Needed in a Pre/pro or Receiver?

I am looking at a receiver that does not have lip sync or support for Deep Color.
My current choice of projector is either a Sony 50ES or a JCV RS4810.

My other option is to go with a sister product of the receiver; a pre/pro that does have these features. My question is do I need them or not?

Edited to correct True Color to Deep Color.

I would recommend lip sync, especially important for concerts.

HDMI v1.3 brought auto lip-sync to the the table.  If you're using HDMI with equipment that is HDMI v1.3 compliant or higher, lip-sync on the receiver or pre-pro would be redundant and not used.

There are no Deep Color sources except for some camcorders AFAIK.  Blu-ray disc's do not support Deep Color nor do broadcast TV or DVD.  So the need for it is dubious, it's more/less marketing blather at this point.
