McIntosh amps in "Elementary"

if you watch the departed, Matt Damons character also has McIntosh equipment in his apartment. You know you are obsessed when...........

I noticed the McIntosh gear last night (probably a paid ad since there was a long closeup on them) and was trying to figure out the speakers, which he has as towers as wellas monitors in his built-in bookcases flanking the fireplace. They look like Energies to me too. It was cool to see the McIntosh gear, but I don't think anyone with those speakers would have McIntosh and vice versa.

Yup. I have to agree... CF-70's. I took a really good look at them. Deeeeep cabinets. The show was definitely not too interested in you figuring them out. The only speakers I can think of that are more simplistic in styling would be a set of Canton Karat's in black.

Glad, I'm not the only one who was wondering about the speakers. AND I have been wondering for weeks if anything more... "obvious" was going to come of the McIntosh components, and BOOM there you go.

I have to say, McIntosh's look even better on TV than in person. I suppose if there was a front panel great for TV, it would be McIntosh. Nice HDTV closeup, I even paused the TiVo to see the settings . Although, it COULD be even better in a dark room, I suspect.
