I am replacing an acer 6500 that has gone defective with a bad fan - going to be fixed under warranty but in the end it does not put out enough light for my living room . My room has black out window coverings and still is medium bright with light from other rooms as well. I am considering either the epson 3010 or 8350 as they are within budget and have some decent specs. I thought I was set on the 3010 as far as brightness goes ans the 3d was an added bonus (not required). Then I read some info about it having lag issues when gaming and there was no fix available. So now im torn between the lag issue of the 3010 and the brightness of the 8350. I guess the question is would you rather experience delay with better brightness on the 3010 - or have little to lag with less brightness on the 8350? Is the brightness that much different between the 2? How bad is the delay (kids play some kinect games and I can see that being an issue there)?
Any help/ direction or input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Virg

The 8350 will have less lag, and the added brightness in a light controlled room won't really be needed, so 3D vs better blacks/lag. Ask the kids
