Satellite speaker opinion please....

I'm looking to update my Klipsch quintet iii to possibly the kef 3005bl.........is this a significant move up or more of a lateral move? I'm just looking to upgrade my overall sound quality but need to stay within the satellite speaker genre. Thoughts and comments are appreciated.

If might a a little upgrade since the KEF sats have a 4.5" driver vs the 3.5" driver in the Quintet III.

But if you're gonna spend more money on speakers go with bookshelf speakers not more satellites.

Maybe a pair of two of these Def Tech speakers?

Whoa, those DefTech's are selling for a really good price. They would definitely be an upgrade over what the OP has now.

Does no one read the entire post? Why recommend bookshelf speakers when ^^^^^^^^^ is what was posted?

IMO it would be an upgrade. As would the Polk TL 350 set.

You might want to look at the Cambridge Minx as well. Depending on your budget there are more expensive satellite systems too.

Thanks for everyones input....and I do need to stay with satellites..............my max is about a $1000.00.....just want to make sure that its a significant up grade worth the investment.

IMHO, the CA minx and the Orb speakers are amongst the best sat speakers!
