2312 subwoofer trim

Hi,I have moved my speakers about, so i need to re-run audyssey fully. The one thing that confueses me is the sub trim. Before i moved things around, the sub trim was set at -3.5 which seemed very boomy with dts master even with the voluume turned down to -12 using the ch level setting, but was fine with music being increased to about +8. Would it be better to increase the volume on the sub to try & get the trim into a + rather than a - value so there is more of a margin down to -12, or would it be best to stay with a - trim,
Thanks for any help offered Mark.

Obtaining a trim closer to 0db obviously gives you more room to adjust either way; however, note that the purpose of Dyn EQ (p. 98 OM) is to boost the bass at volume levels below 0db, so either turn it OFF or set the Reference Level Offset (p. 98 OM) to 10 or 15 to decrease the effect. You may also want to try adjusting the LFE setting (for DTS movie audio) to -10db (p. 95 OM).

Also if you haven't already, you may want to try doing the "sub crawl" to more ideally locate the sub.

Also note there is a dedicated thread just for Denon AVR-XX12 questions linked in my sig. Review posts #3-6 in that thread for additional helpful information.
