Getting this new house and it is pre wired - however i have never seen connectors like these... can anybody please help me.. thanks
These seem to be audio cables and have the tags on them like bedroom , back yard and all .. the speakers are AR and they are all installed throughout the house.. including surround sound 5 channel....

Kinda looks like something I've seen on a connector for a trailer hitch. I started googling around and kinda looks like some obsolete molex connectors I found. http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0512400605_TERMINAL_BLOCKS.xml

If you don't have the amp or speaker switch that goes with those connectors just cut them off and use the wires to connect to whatever equipment you want to use. Typical wiring scheme for those 4-conductor wires is:

RED = Right +
BLACK = Right -
WHITE = Left +
GREEN = Left -

You may want to pull apart a volume control and double check.

@SAM64 wow - what equipment/amplifiers use these kind of boards ? thanks

Those connectors are designed to plug into something else. I used to use them on 2 way radio controlling devices. You obviously have no use for them, just ditch them. ( I used to like them for what I used to do, retired now. )

You can get them at:

Www.digikey.com

They will sell directly to consumers.
