External IR receiver for AVR 235?

Hi, i don´t know if this answer is solved yet , but i couldn´t find it.
I have a HK235 AVR and i want to connect an external IR receiver because i have a table in front of it that difficults the communication with my remote.
I want to locate a receiver on the tv and i know that HK have the HE-1000 IR receiver for this situations, but its too expensive for me, because i don´t want to connect a piramidal system with other components.
Anyone knows other compatible IR sensor for what i need?

Thank you. I will test it and before I will comment here my impressions.

It works fine, very useful IR repeater. You can connect a direct cable to the IR port on your HK and it works pretty good.
