I would recommend a sound bar. I have the htct260 and I'm more than satisfied. My set up is in a room, not living room, but I think it would still do fair in a living room setup.

I just want to know how you feel about the reflection of the chrome stand? When watching those side by side comparison videos from Youtube, I cant help noticing the glowing circle under the screen, especially in a very dark surrounding. So does that bother anyone in your daily use? Thanks
Hello, This is my first post on here :). Anyways I just picked up this TV on friday and I have been mostly happy with it. I am running into some issues though both with horizontal banding and the audio. I hadnt really noticed any banding until last night watching the walking dead. During scenes that were not very bright and mostly blacks/grey the horizontal band was very noticeable. Are there certain picture settings that can make this either better or worse, or could I possibly have a defective panel?
As for the audio problem (first some background, I have all my components running through a Denon receiver then to the tv) I have noticed that the audio is in front of the picture. If i turn off all of the "special" picture settings it gets better but if any of them are on it gets worse?
I've got some cloudiness that's really noticeable in the bottom left of the screen.
Is this just pretty normal? This is in a near pitch black room with backlight on 3.
The camera exaggerates, but the bottom left corner and the splotch just northeast of the corner as well are very noticeable with normal sight on this screen. The right side has normal light output and while it does get darker to the center, at least it's uniform which makes it less noticeable. This all may be due to the graphic on there... I'm wondering if it was gone how it would look.
Does anyone have a link to an all black screen, that keeps the backlight on? I've tried others, but it just turns the light off.
I also have one dead pixel. How many of you other guys have any?
Is this worth getting another panel from Sony or no?
Could someone else use that same screen I was looking at in a near pitch black room so I can have some sort of comparison between models on the clouding.
I have a feeling I'll be wasting my time getting a new set because the issue is not there with colors and for most viewing material.
