I heard it from here, though it's not hard to see why. The only feature the W900A doesn't seem to have over the HX850 is gorilla glass. Its guts are largely the same, however, including the same type of dimming (neither are full array local dimming; both are edge-lit). What the W900A does have over its predecessor is a new display called Triluminos. It's reported to reproduce a much higher gamut of colors over existing screens, allowing for more vibrant, sharper images.
There seems to be a caveat, though. FlatpanelHD's preview put a splash on its hype by stating content has to be made to make use of the increased color gamut.Edited by AGuy01 - 3/23/13 at 6:28pm
