Any Receivers With 3 or More Component Inputs?

Thread Starter
Looking for a sub $400ish receiver that has at least3 component inputs. No HDMI necessary.. I am willing to buy refurb or used.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should be looking for? It's in an older install and I do not want to use a component video switcher. Something newer with in-room audio calibration is great, but I honestly do not mind buying something that was top of the line 6-7 years back. It's for a 5.1 setup. I just need some ideas. Thanks folks!

If you go back 4-5 years, almost any AVR will have 3 component video inputs, even those with HDMI. On the other hand, I don't know of any in that price range from the last 2-3 years that do. I just recently picked up a used Onkyo TX-NR905 in the Classified section here for right at $400... if you can come across something like that you would have the benefit of the component inputs/output you need, a full suite of HDMI, decoding of losless/uncompressed audio over HDMI, solid room-eq, and a beast of an amp.

It shouldn't be a problem with equipment 4 years or older, but one thing to watch out for is that most modern AV receivers don't support using the onscreen display with a TV connected using composite video. Depending on the model this can make setting up or even using the receiver difficult or impossible.
