Center Speaker: Margin Logan Motion 6 vs HTD Flat Panel Speaker

I have a Marantz Slimline NR1603 and 4 ceiling speakers. My challenge has always been getting a proper center channel. I have to mount the center channel below my TV due to the way my room is set up. So no big clunky center speakers. With that in mind...

I currently have a Margin Logan Motion 6 speaker mounted up. It is quite small but produces decent sound. I have been itching to upgrade to something louder. The ML Motion 6 seems to get distorted sound above certain volumes and doesn't drive clear dialogue like I would like.

After researching I found the company, Home Theater Direct, and they seemed to have some pretty excellent reviews. Anyone with personal experience or suggestions? Help me pull the trigger!

I am currently looking at this speaker:

Price seems a little low, but I have read the price shouldn't reflect on the quality on this particular SKU.

Thanks!

What are you using for the left and right front speakers? You should get a center that matched those.

I understand. But what brand are they?

You want at least the tweeter in your center to match the tweeter in the ceiling speaker to match as close as possible.

I think the biggest problem is that the MartinLogan is a 4 ohm speaker, and the receiver is having trouble keeping up with it. You probably need to go with an 8 ohm speaker. As to whether the HTD is a good speaker, I have no idea.

Roger. Recommendations on an 8 ohm speaker? Those DT speakers above are a little thick. Need to stick to 4.5 depth or less.

Love the sound of the HTD center speakers.
I've used their Level Two center, and it looks to use the same drivers as the one you linked. So I'd expect this one to at least sound similar.

Very clean sound. Dialogue was clear, effects were as they should be. HTD makes solid products.
